Install Guide

A complete walkthrough for installing My Onelink TV on Android: from downloading the installer, through disabling Play Protect, to opening the app for the first time.

Before you start: you will need an Android phone or tablet, around 200 MB of free space, and a stable internet connection. The whole process takes about 3 minutes.

On the home page, tap Download APK. The file is saved with its original name (for example, My-Onelink-TV.apk) so you can verify it later.

If your browser warns that this kind of file can harm your device, choose Download anyway or Keep.

Step 2. Allow installs from your browser

Android blocks installs from outside the Play Store by default. You only need to allow this once for the browser you used to download.

    1. Open Settings on your phone.
    2. Go to AppsSpecial accessInstall unknown apps. (On some phones it is under Security & privacyMore security settings.)
    3. Pick the browser you downloaded with (Chrome, Samsung Internet, Firefox, etc.).
    4. Turn on Allow from this source.

Step 3. Turn off Play Protect scanning

Play Protect may block or flag sideloaded apps. To install smoothly, turn it off before installing. You can turn it back on afterwards.

    1. Open the Google Play Store app.
    2. Tap your profile icon in the top right.
    3. Choose Play Protect.
    4. Tap the settings (gear) icon in the top right of the Play Protect screen.
    5. Turn off Scan apps with Play Protect.
    6. Also turn off Improve harmful app detection if it is on.
    7. If a dialog asks to confirm, choose Turn off.

    Step 4. Install the APK

Open your Files or Downloads app and find the installer you just downloaded.

    1. Tap the file. The Android installer opens.
    2. Tap Install.
    3. If you see Blocked by Play Protect, choose Install anyway (or More detailsInstall anyway).
    4. Wait for the installer to finish.

Step 5. Open the app and you are done

Tap Open when the installer finishes, or find My Onelink TV in your app drawer.

On first launch the app may take a moment to prepare its library. After that, you can start streaming.

Reminder: Sports features are still being finished, so a few live events may not be available yet.
